Our vision and mission

Connecting Women aims to provide our members and guests with an enriching and inspiring evening of learning and sharing every month. At Connecting Women you will have the opportunity to meet kindred spirits, network, and enjoy a speaker on topics as diverse as personal and professional development, social and environmental issues, and intercultural exchange. We strive to create a warm, welcoming environment for all women and to inspire you to be the best you can be.       

 

Our history

Connecting Women was founded in 1997 by a group of expatriate women who saw a need for an English-speaking forum where women of different nationalities could meet to share experiences, to network and to make connections. We are an international community of diverse women between the ages of 20 and 70.  Our members and guests come from many different countries and have different backgrounds. Some of us work full-time, others part-time; some are not currently in paid employment.  The organization is very relaxed and friendly and we do not demand a host of details from those who attend our gatherings.

Members and guests

Membership is not required to attend our gatherings. Just come along as a guest and we hope that you will meet other like-minded women, enjoy the evening, and decide to come again. Our entrance fee is €15. If you are interested in membership, please go to our membership page for more information.

The monthly gatherings

The doors of our venue open at 7pm. For the first half hour there is time to meet up with old friends, make new contacts, and browse our selection of members' offerings and other useful information. Our gatherings begin at 7:30 pm with the program of the evening and usually finish around 9:30 pm. After that there is ample opportunity to chat and connect with others.
